How do I reset the filter reminder on my SMT-770 ( Chameleon) It's flashing the world "filt" ( filter) on the displayAlternate Text

This is an internal filter reminder in the thermostat reminding you its time to clean your return air filter ( if fitted).

This can be reset by pressing and holding the "Mode" and "Fan" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. If this feature is not required it can be disabled via the installer settings, refer to installer manual  "FT" Filter warning option.

How do I reset the filter reminder on my battery powered thermostat model (42157,42-157b, 44-400)Alternate Text

This is an internal filter reminder in the thermostat reminding you its time to clean your return air filter ( if fitted).


This can be reset by pressing " FILTER " button once, the display will show hours of usage (counter) ie ( 450hrs) press and hold the " FILTER " button again for 5 seconds, the display will briefly flash and the counter will reset to 000.

How do I unlock my SMT-770 Chameleon ThermostatAlternate Text

Press and hold the "O/Ride" button for 15 Seconds. The display will show "8815".  Adjust this value to "8821" ( default Pin is 21 )  using the "UP Arrow" button. Tap the "O/RIDE" button again, the display will show menu location PN21.

If you have entered an incorrect PIN you will be exited from this menu. You will need to contact your installer for PIN or  have the thermostat returned to an authorised Smart Temp agent for re programming. A fee may apply.

Tap the "O/RIDE" button again, the display will show the next menu location "LC0#". ( Lock Level) .
Adjust this value to "LC00" then tap the "mode" button to exit installer menu.  Your thermostat is now unlocked.

How do I reset the filter reminder on my Apollo (44-800) ThermostatAlternate Text


Press and hold the "Fan" and "Mode" buttons on the LCD for 8 Seconds.

My Thermostat displays HI, LO or ERRAlternate Text

This is a malfunction with your thermostat.  Try replacing the batteries or resetting your thermostat. If this fails, then you will need to have your thermostat replaced.  Contact your installer or Smart Temp.

My battery thermostat will not switch off Heating when it reaches setpointAlternate Text

Replace your thermostat batteries with a fresh set of Alkaline type.  If it still continues to heat after the batteries have been replaced then you may have a faulty thermostat. Remove thermostat from wall and contact your service technician for repair or replacement.
